#Eat manga fairy tail series
By comparison, Fairy Tail's system is diverse but otherwise ordinary, and in retrospect, the series could have, and probably should have, played up its unique strengths more aggressively. This series has stiff competition from titles such as Naruto and its many shinobi jutsu, or One Piece's devil fruit system or Bleach's vast combat system of zanpakuto, spells and Hollows. RELATED: Why Naruto's Six Paths of Pain is One of Anime's Most Tragic Techniques Setting Fairy Tail's Combat System Apart In Anime By Eating Magicįairy Tail's combat system includes a few unique features, such as dragon slayers eating their elements and the devastating Fairy Law spell, but these ideas don't go far enough to set Fairy Tail's combat system apart in the world of anime. Gray had to become an ice devil slayer in the Tartaros arc to eat ice, and the combat system of Fairy Tail could stand to be more generous than that. True, Gray had a natural resistance to enemy ice, as does Lyon Vastia, but that's not the same as dragon slayers eating their own elements to get stronger. At first, he simply could not, since that's not how elemental magic works. Some anime fans may wonder if Gray Fullbuster can eat ice to power up, since he dedicated himself to using elemental ice magic. However, this power is very restricted in Fairy Tail. Sting Eucliffe of the Sabertooth guild can eat anything white to power up, and so on.
#Eat manga fairy tail skin
Gajeel Redfox, a former member of Phantom Lord, can eat iron to bolster his strength and even turn his skin into steel after a point. He has done this many times, especially in earlier episodes of Fairy Tail, and he could turn around a losing battle with a flaming lunch. Natsu can open his mouth and suck up all nearby fire, recharging his magic and even enhancing or modifying it in some cases. It's not unusual for some anime characters to be immune to their own element or poisons, but Fairy Tail's dragon slayers take it one step further: they can actually eat their element to power up. Natsu Dragneel the fire dragon slayer cannot be harmed with heat or flames, and electrical attacks do no good against Laxus Dreyar. Artificial or not though, each dragon slayer wields one particular element in battle, and these slayers are immune to both magical and naturally-occurring instances of their element.
The story of Fairy Tail features seven dragon slayers, several of whom come from three centuries in the past, the era of Zeref Dragneel the villain, while others such as Cobra and the electric Laxus Dreyar are artificial dragon slayers.
